The Party except, Beltaine, were all dressed up for the party at Castle Shard. Walking southwest on Fallow St., the group was accosted by a large humanoid machine with a mage ally up on a roof. Arheim, with rightous certaintude moved up and demanded the machine surrender.The machine proceeded to attack the group, slamming them with large clawed hands.Arheim, Markus, Artimus and Volm attacked the machine scoring minor damage. With arcane slyness, Enian summoned a small water elemental. The quenching watery attack extinguished its motive fire. Quin moved into the house seeking access to the roof. As he climbed up the interior of the building, the mage launched magical attacks at the group in the street even animating her long handled pick to attack the heroes. Quin reached the roof and succumbed to the wizards charms. Other group members entered the building searching for the errant mage. After breaking down one door and frightening another family, the party members return to the street. The City Guard showed up and took possession of the machine. Enian remarked that this looked like the work of members of the Sorn. After attempting to clean up, the group continued on to Castle Shard.
